From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. Handcuffs are restraint devices designed to secure an individual's wrists close together. They comprise two parts, linked together by a chain, a hinge or in the case of rigid cuffs, a bar. Each half has a rotating arm which engages with a ratchet that prevents it from being opened once closed around a person's wrist. Without the key, the handcuffs cannot be unlocked and so the restrained person is unable to move their wrists more than a few centimetres/inches apart, making many tasks difficult or impossible. Both dont come with keys but it says in one of the actuions it states any handcuff key will work. Is that true? Neither of these auctions come with boxes. Is there a way to tell? I think you are confusing "hand cuffs" with "wrists restraints" as we prefer to call them in the health care Profession. Both situations that you mentioned sounds adequate for the use of restraints. First you said you overdosed on pills, well people react differently when under the influence of medications, so as a precaution and for safety reasons, patients are often restrained, not handcuffed, there is a difference. About the Seizure incident again, during that time the patient can easily hurt themselves and those around, so the paramedics "restrain" the patient to keep the patient safe. Both situations called for safety measures and this is one way to make sure of that. I am sorry if it seems cruel. But is a safety measure.
